Below is a list of the most commonly asked questions. To view the answer please just click on the question.
Before you can register with ABMA, you will have to enrol at an ABMA affiliated centre. They will be able to provide you with the ABMA registration and examination forms. Alternatively you can print them directly from the examination forms section on the website. When submitting the completed registration form, remember to include 2 passport photographs, documentary evidence of your previously achieved qualifications, and the registration fee.
When you wish to be examined, you must contact your college and ensure that they enter you onto the student spreadsheet that each college submits to enter students for examinations. Make sure you are entered for the correct course and units. It is very important to check that your name is entered as you wish it to appear on your certificate, since amendments are chargeable after the submission of the spreadsheet.
Fees can be paid using a bank draft, made payable to ABMA in Pound Sterling, which can be obtained at your local bank. This method of payment is the most secure. The bank draft should be sent to ABMA using a reputable courier service before the deadline date, to ensure that you are included for the examinations. Alternatively, friends or relatives in the UK can pay fees for students.
Sample papers are available on the ABMA website by clicking here. Alternatively you can get these from your college.
Contact your college and inform them that you wish to examine, so that they can enter you onto the student spreadsheet for the next examination series. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are entered accurately onto the spreadsheet, checking that your name is spelt correctly (this is the name that will appear on your results and your certificate). You should also check that you have been entered for the correct course, diploma level and units (since these are the examination papers which will be sent for you).
To be considered for an exemption from some units within a diploma level or a whole diploma level, you will need to submit an exemption application. The Examination/Exemption Form is available from the college where you are registered. You will need to attach copies of your previous qualifications and any other documents to support your application. Please clearly indicate that you are applying for an exemption, and what exemptions you are applying for. Once we receive this, the application is forwarded to the ABMA Advisory Board who will determine whether you qualify for the requested exemption. Your college will be notified, via email, of the outcome and they will inform you of the decision. The fees payable will be detailed within the email sent to the college.
When applying for an exemption please ensure you do so well in advance of the examination series you intend to undertake so that this application can be processed in time. You should also ensure that you are entered on the student spreadsheet for the correct units in which you wish to be examined.
Once you have applied for a job or university position, you can email us at info@abma.uk.com with the details, including company/university name, contact person, address, position/course applied for, and your full ABMA student number and we will send a letter supporting your application, detailing the benefits of your ABMA qualification. ABMA cannot provide a personal reference for you but the letter of support will be assist at the interview stage.

Dissertations can include a live example or case study, or it can be theory-based. A live example or case study can be chosen from a multi national corporation, or it can be using a local operation or business. Students should then choose a practical operation within that company and explore the methods used, examine their efficiency, debate any strengths and weaknesses identified and then provide possible solutions. Alternatively, you can 'create' a scenario, identify a concern or problem and then show, using the knowledge you have gained, how the problem can be fixed. Remember to include information gathered from your other units.
ABMA aim to release results within 6-8 weeks of receiving the scripts from the college.
